What is Grace?


What is Grace?

Grace is the new Northumberland Sexual Violence Project offering services to women survivors of rape and sexual violence in the county.

Grace is being developed and run by Tyneside Rape Crisis Centre to address the needs of women survivors in Northumberland.


What does Grace offer?

As part of the project, Grace will be offering:

Face to face counselling

Talks to organisations, professionals and service users

Volunteer opportunities

A helpline offering support

Training

Talks and Visits

Grace supports women in Northumberland over 16 years of age who have experienced sexual violence at any time in their lives.

Grace aims to raise awareness of sexual violence and the services it has to offer women survivors in Northumberland.

These services include:

Volunteer opportunities

Counselling

Helpline

Training

We would be happy to visit your organisation and provide a talk for either professionals or service users.


Counselling bases

We currently have counselling bases in Alnwick, Berwick, Blyth, Hexham and Morpeth. 

Grace is taking referrals for counselling direct from women as well as by agencies or proxy on behalf of women. To find out about counselling or to make a referral please contact us on 0191 222 0272.


Want to Volunteer?

Grace is actively looking for volunteers. Some of the volunteer duties are:

Helpline

Awareness raising

Office/admin duties

Daytime office cover

Event organising

Fundraising

Project work
