TRCC Writers Group Anthology: 'My Words'

TRCC Writers Group Anthology: My Words [opens in a new window] In April 2008, Pen and Tonic was delighted to be commissioned by Tyneside Rape Crisis to run a series of writing for health workshops for women survivors of sexual violence.

'My Words' [opens in a new window] represents a selection of the writing that resulted from these workshops.

Some of the pieces have been written by experienced writers but the vast majority are by women with little or no experience of expressive or creative writing.

Through the use of writing for health techniques and their own unique insights, the women were able to shape their thoughts, memories and emotions to produce material of integrity and quality.

'My Words' [opens in a new window] is a collection of varied, vivid and often original observations on the extraordinary and the ordinary.
