Working Creatively in a Therapeutic Environment

Date to be decided

Lunch and refreshments provided

Cost per place:
   £80 - Student
   £100 - Voluntary Sector / Individuals
   £120 - Statutory Sector

This is a basic introductory workshop based on Liesl Silverstone's model: Art and the Development of the Person, The Person Centred Way. Together we will explore this non-directive approach to creativity.

The workshop will give you the chance to explore working with art materials and to expand your practice finding out how useful working with art can be.

This does not lead to a formal qualification but will aid your own self-development. You will also get the opportunity to gain new skills and network with other workers.

Objectives

Explore creative thinking and feelings using music, guided imagery and the use of an array of art materials

Gain knowledge of practical experiences of working creatively with clients

Experience a safe, non-judgmental environment enabling individuals to explore their own reactions to using art materials

Participants will be involved in working individually, in pairs and as part of a group but there will be no role play. All art materials will be provided.

Participants are advised to wear comfortable clothing as they will be moving around.

Participants will receive a Resource Pack and Certificate of Attendance
